Meet Our Tennis Camp Instructors

Patricia "Coach Patty" Ouellette is a lifelong tennis player, professional tennis instructor, highly decorated scholastic coach and founder of Jersey Shore Junior Tennis Academy.

In 2011 Patty founded a non-profit community Tennis Association to bring tennis education to our children. She holds a PTR Master of Tennis Junior Development certification, a USPTA Professional Elite certification, and various USTA training certificates in 10U tennis. She is a pioneer in bringing 10U tennis to children in the USA, ROGY is a system using smaller rackets, slower balls, shorter courts. 

Patty completed on a State Championship high school BOYS tennis team and played club tennis in college. Back in her youth, women's organized sports were almost nonexistent at all levels. Local folks organized their own leagues, tournaments and travel tennis teams. 

Patty spent 35 years teaching, counseling and coaching in the Middletown Township School District. Patty coached Mater Dei Prep Girls to two state titles, then became the Varsity Coach of the Middletown High School South Girls team for 31 years. Her teams won many championship titles. Patty was named All-State, All-Shore Conference, All-Monmouth "Coach of the Year" and Middletown High School South inducted her into their Hall of Fame for coaching. 

A member of the NJ State Board of Coaches, Patty received the NJSIIA Sport Award for tennis, was named NJ State, "Coach of the Year" and the NJ Coaches Association inducted her into their State Coaches Hall of Fame. 

A member of the United States Tennis Association, New Jersey Region Board, Patty received the USTA "Volunteer of the Year" Award and was selected as one of 20 National Community Tennis Association Presidents to participate in a USTA Community Tennis Association Leadership Development Program.
